Woman Drenched In Blue (2013)
Watered down acrylic, India ink and pencil on watercolour paper
It really does not look like the model in the reference picture AT ALL but the fact that it actually resembles a human female is achievement enough for me.
I like how women aren’t always portrayed as these pristine and delicate creatures in the arts anymore. Because we really aren’t. A woman can be nasty and foulmouthed, she can be ill-mannered, brilliant, fragile, funny, independent, confused, profound, lonesome, and an animal in the sack. The modern woman is finally allowed to be human and I love it.
